Pro-choice a) Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?

Yes c) Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
Yes d) Should abortion be legal when the life of the woman is endangered?
No e) Do you support requiring parental notification before an abortion is performed on a minor?
No f) Do you support requiring parental consent before an abortion is performed on a minor?

No h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions?
I see abortion as something that should be avoided whenever possible, and most often occurs when there is inadequate education, family planning and access to birth control. Supporting these services is the best way to reduce the number of abortions.

Each increase in spending should be tied to specific revenue streams. Environment spending should be paid for by polluters and those that generate the costs of environmental restoration. Transportation should be based on a true-cost model that facilitates reduced carbon emissions. Health and education should be basic rights funded from general fund. Healthcare should be supplemented with funding from taxes on products that cause disease and illness.
The goal of taxation should be to provide stable basic services for all so that families, businesses and communities can prosper. In general the goal should be to increase the number of middle class people by reducing poverty and excessive concentrations of wealth and power.
Eliminate the massive subsidies and tax breaks for multinational corporations. Increase taxes on companies that export their profit, and reduce it on those that reinvest their profits in Hawaii. Don't reduce public worker salaries, which are for the most part very low, instead increase worker efficiency which is also very low. Salaries should be competitive with equivalent private sector jobs (slightly lower pay in exchange for greater job security). Raise professional standards for all public employees. Keep and recruit the best, and let go those who don't take the public trust seriously. Stimulate purchasing power by creating a living wage.

I support ellininating all obstacles to voting, and requiring the state to do everything they can to register all citizens to vote. Voting should be easy, learning about candidates should be easy, and voting should be a basic responsibility of being a citizen and receiving the benefits of living in Hawaii.
